Since the reassignment of Farm Service Agency (FSA) domestic procurement activities to the Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) this past July, we have been transitioning our communications activities to those supported by our Agency. AMS’ two main tools for communicating commodity purchase activities are through our subscription-based e-mail service and our website.
Many of our stakeholders receive email notification of Dairy and Domestic procurement activities through FSA’s GovDelivery subscription-based service. We have moved these subscription topics over to AMS’s GovDelivery service, and have migrated the current subscribers in the process so there is no interruption in communication to our stakeholders.
There will be very little impact on GovDelivery subscribers due to this change. The move only involved FSA’s “Dairy” and “Domestic” subscription topics; based on your FSA GovDelivery preferences, you may still receive emails from FSA on other topics.
If you currently receive emails from FSA GovDelivery about Dairy and Domestic procurements, these emails will now come to you from an AMS email address. The email appearance may change slightly, but the critical information will remain (e.g. links to solicitation or award reports).
Stakeholders can find procurement documents for all domestic commodity purchases (including Dairy products and Domestic grain, bakery, and oilseed product solicitations issued since the reassignment) on the AMS website www.ams.usda.gov/selling-food. Other useful information available on the website includes product specifications and CIDs, the Master Solicitation and vendor qualifications, a list of key contacts, and more.
