The Feeding Marianas Food Purchase Program is designed to purchase nutritious foods from local and/or regional producers, with a special focus on socially disadvantaged producers, for distribution to individuals and families in underserved communities. The program is expected to benefit up to forty-five producers and thousands of children, adults, and senior citizens in underserved communities.
The program aims to improve the local food supply chain and system by supporting and expanding economic opportunities for local producers. Delivery and distribution will be coordinated with or through collaboration efforts with other government agencies and nonprofit organizations.
