Farm Walks are peer-to-peer, on-farm education events for sustainable and organic farmers to learn about innovative farming practices and build relationships with peers in their community. Tilth Producers of Washington has held its Farm Walk Program for more than a decade and developed this instruction guide to help other organizations sponsor and organize Farm Walks in their communities. Though primarily farmer-led, Farm Walks often invite extension specialists, consultants, and other agricultural professionals to provide additional expertise. Farm Walks can provide a hands-on learning experience for newly certified farmers or those interested in certification.
