1. Support local socially disadvantaged farms/food producers by providing 20 local farms and food producers with direct payments totaling $300,000 (62.5% of total award) for locally sourced and produced food.
2. Forge relationships between local farmers/food producers and the underserved Narragansett Tribal Community by providing sourcing, assemblage, and distribution infrastructure to ensure the delivery of fresh locally grown food.
3. Record, analyze, and distribute overall qualitive and quantitative data as it pertains to project outcomes up to and including recommendations for long term project sustainability and food security.
4. Utilize the LFPA resources to introduce, reinforce, and nurture current and new networks of farmers and food producers, focusing on maintaining service to the underserved Tribal community while sourcing from disadvantaged farms/food producers.
