USDA to Host an Informational Webinar About Opportunities to Serve on the Grain Inspection Advisory Committee

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will host an informational webinar on June 27, 2023, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. ET to highlight its Grain Inspection Advisory Committee (GIAC) and encourage participation. The webinar will cover GIAC background, authorities, composition, nomination process, AMS’ policy on board diversity and more.

Pre-Solicitation Announcement for Section 32 Purchase of Frozen Strawberry Products

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) today announced plans to purchase Frozen Strawberry Products for distribution to various food nutrition assistance programs. Purchases will be made under the authority of Section 32 of the Act of August 24, 1935, with the purpose to encourage the continued domestic consumption of these products by diverting them from the normal channels of trade and commerce.
