Through the collaborative efforts of the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Veterinarian Medicine (CVM) and American Feed Industry Association (AFIA), USDA-AMS Livestock and Poultry Program has agreed to assist with registering non-animal-based additive, premix and compound feed manufacturing facilities for export to China to facilitate access to the Chinese feed additive, premix and compound feed market.
Feed companies interested in registering facilities or updating existing facility registrations for export of non-animal-based feed additive, premix and compound to China shall complete the following forms:
- AMS Application for Service LP109 Form, and
- AFIA Facility Registration spreadsheet - located on the AFIA Facility Registration for Export of Feed Additives, Premix or Compound Feed to China website
Include appropriate documentation justifying request, per instructions in the Facility Registration Spreadsheet, such as a MARA Product Registration License, MARA Exemption Letter, and/or a Permission letter from the manufacturer.
All required documents are to be submitted in one email submission to FeedExportChina@usda.gov with Subject: Feed Registration Export to China.
IMPORTANT: When submitting via email the LP109, Facility Registration spreadsheet, MARA Product Registration License, MARA Exemption Letter, and/or Permission letter from the manufacturer to USDA AMS, attach each as separate files.
AMS will review the submitted documents and provide a list of new or amended facility information to the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) for final consideration to be added to the appropriate facility list.
AMS verification and registration activities for this Program will be conducted at the current fee-for-service audit rate.
Once AMS receives the completed forms, AMS will review and compile a list of proposed additions and changes and submit to the General administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China (GACC) for consideration. AMS accepts applications on a rolling-basis. Applications will be reviewed, complied, and sent to GACC on a quarterly basis.
