General Information

The Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP) is a competitive grant program where the purpose is to support the development, coordination, and expansion of direct producer-to-consumer markets to increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products. 

The Local Food Promotion Program (LFPP) is a competitive grant program where purpose is to support the development, coordination, and expansion of local and regional food business enterprises that engage as intermediaries in indirect producer-to-consumer marketing to increase access to and availability of locally and regionally produced agricultural products.

  • August 6, 2025: AMS ARM Training and FMPP Grant Review Programmatic Training with the Federal Staff (Panel Chairs and Reviewers) | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Eastern) Webinar link and conference line will be provided.
  • August 7, 2025:
    • AMS ARM Training and LFPP Grant Review Programmatic Training with the Federal Staff (Panel Chairs and Reviewers) | 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM (Eastern) Webinar link and conference line will be provided.
    • ARM Session Opens at 6:00PM (Eastern). Applications are made available to reviewers electronically, via the ARM system.
  • August 7, 2025 – August 28, 2025: Reviewers and Panel Chairs read applications. Reviewers score and write comments.
  • August 12, 2025:
    • Office hours with Panel Chairs & Reviewers: 
      FMPP Session: 11:00 AM – 12:00PM (Eastern)
      LFPP Session: 1:00 PM – 2:00PM (Eastern)
      *Webinar link and conference line to be provided.
    • Reviewers submit to Panel Chair scores and comments for applications 1st through 3rd in the ARM system by 11:59 PM (Eastern).
  • August 13, 2025: Panel Discussion Day for Panel Chairs & Reviewers.
  • August 14, 2025: Panel Chair submits Panel Summary Reports to Panel Manager by 3:00 PM (Eastern) – Applications 1 through 3.
  • August 18, 2025: Reviewers submit to Panel Chair scores and comments for applications 4th through 6th in the ARM system by 11:59 PM (Eastern).
  • August 19, 2025: Panel Discussion Day for Panel Chairs & Reviewers.
  • August 20, 2025:
    • Panel Chair submits Panel Summary Reports to Panel Manager by 3:00 PM (Eastern) – Applications 4 through 6.
    • Reviewers submit to Panel Chair scores and comments for applications 7th and 8th in the ARM system by 11:59 PM (Eastern).
  • August 21, 2025: Panel Discussion Day for Panel Chairs & Reviewers.
  • August 22, 2025: Panel Chair submits Panel Summary Reports for applications 7th and 8th in the ARM system by 3:00 PM(Eastern).
  • August 25, 2025: Panel Managers provides feedback on Panel Summary Reports.
  • August 27, 2025: All edits are due in the ARM System by 3:00 PM (Eastern).
  • August 28, 2025: Review Director Approves all Panel Summary Reports.
  • August 28, 2025: ARM Session Closes by 5:00 PM (Eastern).
